The Essential Collection of Add-On Widgets and Utilities For Motif

XRT/gear is a collection of eleven widgets and three utilities, designed by Motif experts, that will let you quickly build high-quality Motif user interfaces.

XRT/gear provides widgets that are otherwise unavailable in Motif or greatly enhance those that already exist. Use Outliner/Tree interfaces, build folder and tab dialogues and add pop-up spot help to your Motif applications. XRT/gear's widgets let you inform users with progress meters, build toolbars filled with colorful icons, or easily align widgets in a form.

Other XRT/gear widgets are improvements on the standard toggle, label and pushbutton widgets. And XRT/gear lets you easily output any Motif interface in PostScript.

Comprehensive Set of Components

XRT/gear comes with eleven widgets and three utilities designed to help Motif programmers build user interfaces quickly and easily. This page gives a brief overview of each of the components contained in XRT/gear:

• Color Editor - provide users with a smart color editor with a minimum of coding
• Outliner Tree Widget - easily to display and interact with hierarchical information
• Tab Manager - the most flexible, fully-featured folder control available for Motif

• Paned Window - lets users easily size the contents of the active window
• Enhanced Toggle - create multi-state toggles containing the images you choose
• Enhanced Label - combine pixmaps with text labels, or wherever you need borders, rotation or clip masks
• Enhanced Pushbutton - can concurrently display pixmaps and text, and it supports rotation and clipping
